Running with the adventure kick.
Scenes of camp, headquarters for serious exploration in the jungles, mountains, and beaches of where ever.
This summer, I’m planning on doing some quality urban camping, laying out a sleeping bag where ever seems appropriate in the urban landscape of the Twin Cities. My list of potential locations includes a train engine, a bridge, a utility tunnel, and more. I’ve got one of those nifty hammocks you can string up anywhere you want.
None of the above images are mine.
I’ve found a way to theme the work for every class during my last year of University around the idea of adventure and treasure hunting. I started a little collection of images that imply adventure, of which these photos here belong to. None of these images are my own, I only collect them with the intention of remaining inspired.
I finally got the chance to revisit Joel’s palace. Joel is a man who has spent over a decade building his home in the wild. His hard work has been recognized by the authorities and census bureau alike.
The palace is set into a bluff face, and is constantly expanding as Joel excavates dirt and stones from his surroundings. He has an artesian spring near the rail road tracks where he gets his fresh water, and inside of his sleeping quarters he has dug a fridge into the sandstone which keeps his food at a respectable temperature for all seasons.
