A drastic transformation of space had occurred over the course of several months in the basement of an otherwise normal and cozy urban dwelling. The renters of this household designed and developed a lounge, bar and dance floor where there was once only washing machines and concrete. Now the space hosts bustling events and causal gatherings, and is a prime example of what should be done with your living arrangements, no matter where you live or how old you may be.
There is something that motivates this type of behavior; “The Fort Mentality,” a strong desire that persists throughout your entire life to build and shape your environment to fit your tastes, occasionally (but not often enough), to an extreme degree where the original atmosphere has been completely transformed.
